Hey Pune peeps, heads up for some traffic changes coming your way on Tuesday evening! Due to the Dahi-Handi festival, main roads in the city will be diverted through other routes on August 27.

Get ready for some road closures and traffic diversions on Chhatrapati Shivaji Road, Laxmi Road, Bajirao Road, and Tilak Road. Huge crowds are expected to gather to witness the breaking of Dahi-Handi in areas like Chhatrapati Shivaji Road, Mahatma Phule Mandai, Hutatma Babu Genu Chowk, and more.

DCP (Traffic) Amol Zende spilled the beans on the traffic changes, with Chhatrapati Shivaji Road, Tilak Road, and Laxmi Road closing for traffic in the evening. Commuters, take note of the alternate routes to reach your destinations – don’t get stuck in the traffic jam!

For example, if you’re heading towards Swargate via Chhatrapati Shivaji Road, use Jangli Maharaj Road instead. And if you’re going towards Shivajinagar via Bajirao Road, take Tilak Road to reach your destination smoothly.

Roads like Rameshwar Chowk to Shanipar Chowk and Sonya Maruti Chowk to Seva Sadan Chowk will be closed for traffic on Dahi-Handi day. So plan your travel accordingly and avoid the closed routes.

Stay safe and enjoy the festivities, Pune! And remember, patience is key when navigating through the diverted traffic.
