Hey folks, here’s the latest scoop from Pune – and it’s a juicy one! Many police officials, including DCP Bhagyashree Navtake, have landed themselves in hot water after the main accused in the Bhaichand Hirachand Raisoni (BHR) Cooperative Bank fraud case, Sunil Zanwar, spilled the beans to the State Home Department.

It seems that an offence was registered at the Bund Garden Police Station as per the Home Department’s orders, and it looks like things are about to get real messy. Zanwar, who was nabbed for some shady dealings involving property and forged documents, managed to snag bail from the Supreme Court back in 2022.

Now, two cases have popped up in Shikrapur and Pune related to this scandal, and the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) is knee-deep in investigating the matter. Navtake, who was leading the EOW at the time, oversaw raids in Jalgaon where things apparently took a wild turn.

During the raids, Zanwar and his crew pointed out a slew of irregularities, including someone footing the bill for the officers’ meals and the use of private vehicles. Zanwar is crying foul, claiming that he’s being framed for political reasons. There’s even talk of him being linked to some bigwig BJP leader, Girish Mahajan.

Zanwar didn’t hold back, stating, “A false case was slapped on me, even though my son wasn’t involved. I was thrown in the slammer for six months, with three FIRs hitting me all at once. Government records were tampered with, and I’ve got the receipts to prove it. I spilled all the tea to the Home Department, calling out DCP Navtake and her cronies in the process.”

Well, well, well, it looks like the drama in Pune is far from over. Stay tuned for more twists and turns in this scandalous saga!
