Good afternoon, Pune! It’s been a busy day for the Pune Fire Brigade as they sprang into action to save lives in two separate incidents along the Mutha River.

First up, near Bhide Bridge, a person was swept away by the strong currents of the river. Thanks to the quick response of Kamlesh Chaudhary and his team from the Kasba Peth Fire Station, Ajay Kumar Gautam was rescued near Siddheshwar Ghat by the PMC building.

In another incident at Karve Nagar, a person found themselves stuck in the riverbed. Officers from the Warje and Sinhagad Road Fire Station wasted no time in launching a rescue mission, using all available resources to bring the individual to safety.

But the heroic efforts didn’t stop there. Two elderly women were trapped on the third floor of a building at Sun City on Sinhagad Road. With quick thinking and a ladder, the fire officers were able to enter the house and safely rescue the women.

In just eight hours, the Pune Fire Brigade demonstrated their exceptional service by rescuing two individuals from the water and assisting two elderly women in need. Kudos to these brave men and women for their dedication to saving lives in our city.
