The five individuals involved in this shady operation have been identified as Baker Ramesh Bagwe, Haroon Nabi Sheikh, Bikram Sadhan Sheikh, Amanat Anwar Mandal, and Amanat Anwar. It seems like a mix of locals and out-of-towners were in on this illicit business.
The hotel owner, Baker Bagwe, and his four accomplices were caught red-handed with aromatic tobaccos and hookah pots worth a total of Rs 23,500. The Kondhwa Police Station received a tip-off about the illegal activities happening at ‘The Village’ Hotel, prompting the raid.
