Hey there, folks in Pune! Big news coming your way. A case has been filed against IPS Officer Bhagyashree Navtake for some alleged slip-ups during her time as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Economic Offences Wing from 2020 to 2022. It seems like things are heating up over the Bhaichand Hirachand Raisoni Credit Society scam, which involves a whopping ₹1,000 crore and has Sunil Jhavar at the center of it all.

Word on the street is that this case might be taken over by the big guns at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), as approved by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Navtake is being accused of rushing through cases and not following the proper procedures, which has landed her in some hot water. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle wasn’t having any of it and reported the incident to Bund Garden Police Station, leading to the case being filed against Navtake.

Looks like things are about to get even more intense as the investigation gets handed over to the CBI. This whole saga started back in November 2020 when crimes related to the scam were first reported at three police stations in Pune district. Fast forward to February 2024, and a report was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs by the Director General of Police, triggering the action we’re seeing now.

Stay tuned as this story unfolds and we find out what really went down during Navtake’s time at the helm. It’s sure to be a nail-biter!
