Hey Pune peeps, have you heard the exciting news? The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International and the Government of Maharashtra have joined forces to open an international skill centre right here in Model Colony, Pune! How cool is that?

The centre was inaugurated today with some big names in attendance, including Deepak Kesarkar, Minister for School Education & Marathi Language, Chandrakant Patil, MLA and Minister of Higher & Technical Education, and Dr Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council. Even Nitin Kapoor, Vice President of NSDC, was there to show his support.

Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, was all praises for NSDC’s efforts in upskilling students at the job fair in Modern College Pune. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the centre.

Deepak Kesarkar, Minister for School Education & Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra, emphasized the centre’s potential impact, calling it a significant opportunity for Pune to become the ‘Oxford of the East’. Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, also chimed in, highlighting the broader impact of the initiative. He mentioned plans to expand to other regions like Nagpur, Kolhapur, and Amravati to address the employment needs of Maharashtra’s youth.

Nitin Kapoor, Vice President of NSDC, expressed gratitude to the Government of Maharashtra for their support in establishing the centre. He emphasized the commitment to empower Maharashtra’s youth with the necessary skill set for global career opportunities.
