Hey there, folks! Exciting news coming in from Pune today. The Ganeshotsav festival is all set to be celebrated in the Kashmir Valley for the second year in a row, thanks to the efforts of young entrepreneur Punit Balan. He’s the chief organizer of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, and he’s leading the charge to promote peace and harmony among different religious communities in the region.

Seven prominent Ganpati mandals from Pune have come together to support this initiative. Ganesh idols were ceremonially handed over to three Ganesh mandals in Kashmir, following a traditional Puja performed by Pune’s Manache Ganpati mandals. Last year, the festival was celebrated for one and a half days at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. This year, the celebration will expand to three locations in the valley, with festivities lasting for five days in Anantnag and Kupwara.

Replicas of the esteemed Manache Ganpati idols were given to the mandals in Kashmir after the Puja. The idols were received by key office-bearers from the valley, including Mohit Bhan, Sandip Raina, Sandip Kaul, and Nitin Raina. The event was attended by notable figures such as Punit Balan and representatives from various Ganpati mandals in Pune.

Reflecting on the occasion, attendees expressed their excitement and gratitude for the initiative. Anna Thorat mentioned the significance of bringing the Ganeshotsav festival to Kashmir, while Shrikant Shete praised Punit Balan for his exceptional work in promoting Pune’s traditions in the valley. Mohit Bhan from Ganpatyar Ganesh Mandal expressed his joy in celebrating the festival with support from Punit Balan.

Punit Balan himself shared his thoughts, expressing his thrill at seeing the festival grow in Kashmir and his hopes for lasting peace in the region. It’s heartwarming to see communities coming together to celebrate a festival that promotes unity and harmony. Here’s to a successful Ganeshotsav celebration in the Kashmir Valley!
