Hey there, Sinhagad Road commuters! Big news for those of you who frequent Santosh Hall Chowk – traffic changes have been put in place to ease the congestion in the area. If you’re heading from Anand Nagar to Swargate, you’ll now need to make a slight detour. Instead of going straight at Santosh Hall Chowk, you’ll need to turn towards Vadgaon Bridge. Just 150 meters down the road, take a right at the Titan Watch Showroom and you’ll be on your way to Swargate.
And for those of you going from Vadgaon to Anand Nagar, your route has also been adjusted. When you reach Santosh Hall Chowk, take a right in front of Apte Colony, merge onto Sinhagad Road, and then keep going straight. When you hit Santosh Hall Chowk again, take a left to head towards Anand Nagar.
These changes have been put into effect by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in response to the growing number of vehicles clogging up the road. If you have any thoughts or suggestions on these new traffic patterns, make sure to get them in writing to the Pune City Traffic Branch on Jail Road, Yerawada, by September 16th.
So, next time you’re cruising down Sinhagad Road, keep these new directions in mind and hopefully, your commute will be a little smoother.
