Hey Pune peeps, some good news coming your way! The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Primary Education Department has just announced the Ideal Teacher Award for the year 2024-25. A total of 15 teachers from both PMC and private schools in the city will be recognized for their outstanding work.
Out of these 15 teachers, 10 are from municipal schools and 5 are from private schools. The selection process was no joke – the Education Department received a whopping 90 online proposals for the award. The lucky recipients were chosen based on merit by a Selection Committee, following government criteria, document verification, interviews, and even classroom visits.
The award ceremony is set to take place at 11 am on Thursday, September 5th at Balgandharva Rangmandir. Additional Director General of Yashada, Shekhar Gaikwad, and Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale will be there to honor the winners.
