Hey there folks! Exciting news coming out of Pune today as the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) is all set to revamp the Cricket Stadium facility by introducing an international club house. This move aims to provide top-notch infrastructure and facilities to promote the sport of Cricket in the state.

President of MCA, Rohit Pawar, made the announcement during a press conference held at J W Marriott. The collaboration with the Indian Institute of Architects, Pune Center will see an architectural design competition open to professionals, architectural firms, and students.

The competition seeks to blend the love for cricket with innovative architectural design, with a focus on expanding the existing facility to accommodate more players and support staff. The proposed international club house will offer world-class accommodation for the players, reducing travel time and logistics.

The competition is divided into two parts – a ‘Single Stage Competition’ for professionals and an ‘Ideas Competition’ for students. Registration opens on September 10th, with designs to be submitted between October 5th and December 14th.

The winning design will be appointed as the Project Architect for the implementation of the International Club House project. The facility will include rooms, banquet halls, sports bar, restaurants, gym, pool, and indoor cricket pitches.

Prizes for the competition include Rs.25 Lakhs, Rs.15 Lakhs, and Rs.10 Lakhs for the top three professionals, as well as cash prizes for the top three students. Selected works will be displayed at a special exhibition on the day of the awards presentation.
