Pune is getting ready for Ganeshotsav with a strong focus on security this year. With the festival beginning on September 7th, the Pune Police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the festivities.

A whopping 7,000 police personnel will be on duty to maintain law and order throughout the city and its suburbs. This massive force includes plainclothes officers stationed to prevent thefts and other crimes, as well as Rapid Action Force teams, crime branch units, and even Central Industrial Security Force units.

The security arrangements also include bomb detection and disposal squads inspecting crowded areas multiple times a day, along with the deployment of approximately 1,800 CCTV cameras to monitor the festival activities. Police Help Centers will be set up in central areas of the city, and the RAF will be positioned strategically to oversee the crowds.

In addition to these measures, the police will be focusing on preventive actions against known troublemakers and ensuring the safety of women by closely monitoring instances of harassment. Offenders caught molesting women will face public shaming with their photos displayed in key areas.

Overall, these comprehensive security measures aim to create a safe and festive environment for everyone to enjoy Ganeshotsav without any worries.
