The victim, identified as Pandit Fakira Patil, was a resident of Vaishnavi City, Adarshnagar. He was on his way to deliver tiffin boxes with his wife Geeta when the unfortunate incident happened. The truck belonging to the Solid Waste Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation was driving ahead of them when it collided with a tree branch, causing it to fall on the couple riding behind.
Pandit Patil sustained serious injuries and unfortunately passed away during treatment. His wife Geeta has filed a complaint with the Wanwadi police station regarding the incident. The police have taken action against the truck driver and officials from the Garden Department for their negligence.
