Hey Pune peeps, have you heard about the latest efforts to increase youth participation in the election process? Well, Collector Dr Suhas Diwase has some important things to say about it.

In a recent training session organized by the SVEEP Management Cell, Dr Diwase emphasized the need for colleges and educational institutions to step up and ensure 100% of eligible students are registered to vote. He highlighted the importance of youth involvement in democracy and encouraged colleges to organize activities for voter registration and election awareness.

With the upcoming assembly general elections in mind, it’s crucial for young voters to be engaged and informed. Minal Kalaskar, Dy. DEO, Election Branch, urged colleges to register students from all over the state who come to Pune for education. She also stressed the importance of providing assistance to senior citizens and women during the voting process.

Archana Tambe, Deputy Collector, emphasized the need for constituency-wise voting and election awareness programs. She recommended using the Helpline app for any queries and announced that colleges with the most activities will be honored by the Collectorate.

Sharad Gavhale shared information on voting awareness activities and Archana Tambe presented various Election Commission apps for voter assistance. The district is also working on nominating 12 forts, including Shivneri, Lohgad, and Rajgad, for World Heritage status under ‘Maratha Military Landscapes’.

So, Pune folks, let’s do our part in strengthening democracy by getting involved in the election process and preserving our historical heritage. Let’s make our voices heard and make a difference!
