Hey Pune folks, get ready to reserve your preferred number for your four-wheeler private vehicles! The Regional Transport Office (RTO) is launching a new series soon and they are now accepting advance applications for those who want a specific and attractive number.
To reserve your desired number, you need to fill out the application form and submit it in person along with a Dhanakarsh (DD), along with necessary documents like address proof, Aadhaar card, identity card, and PAN card. Make sure to do this today (September 6) between 10.30 am to 2.30 pm at the new registration section of the RTO office.
In case multiple applications are received for the same number, a list will be posted on the office notice board. Applicants on the list will then need to submit a Dhanakarsh (DD) for the auction in a sealed envelope by Monday (September 9) at 2.30 pm.
The deposit for the auction should be above Rs 301 and from a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank located in Pune in the name of ‘RTO Pune’. The preference number will be allotted to the applicant who submits the highest deposit amount at 4 PM on the same day at the Sahakar Auditorium at RTO Office.
Remember, once you reserve a registration number, it cannot be changed. If you don’t submit your vehicle for registration within six months, the reserved number will be canceled, and the fee won’t be refunded.
So hurry up and submit your application if you want to secure your preferred number for your four-wheeler! And don’t forget, the application form and authorization letter for a representative are available at the office during office hours. Make sure your address falls within the RTO jurisdiction before applying. Happy number hunting, Pune!
