Hey there, folks! Here’s the latest scoop from the Market Yard on 9th September 2024. It looks like the prices of Garlic, Carrot, and Peas are on the rise due to a decrease in state imports. Meanwhile, Onion, Cucumber, and Bell Peppers are also becoming more expensive. However, it’s not all bad news as the price of Drumsticks (Shevga) has actually decreased thanks to an increase in imports.

Traders at the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard reported that the prices of other fruits and vegetables remain stable, despite the fluctuating prices of some items. A total of 70 to 80 truckloads of fruits and vegetables arrived at the wholesale market on Sunday, down from the 90 truckloads that arrived last week.

Various states like Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have been busy importing goods to meet the demand. With Ganeshotsav in full swing, the demand for fruits has skyrocketed. Sugad-Apple (Sitafal), Melon, Watermelon, Papaya, Chiku, and Guava prices have gone up, while Lemons have seen a decrease. Pineapple, Oranges, Mangoes, Apples, and Pomegranates, however, remain steady in price.

In the flower market, the demand has also surged due to the festive season. Flowers from various regions are being brought in, causing prices to rise by 10 to 20 percent.
