Hey Pune peeps, have you heard the latest news? Railway passengers from western Maharashtra now have one more luxurious option to travel! The Railway Ministry has given the green light for a Vande Bharat Express train that connects western Maharashtra with north Karnataka.

Starting September 15, train no. 20669 from Hubli to Pune and 20670 from Pune to Hubli will be up and running. This train will pass through Miraj, Sangli, and Satara, making travel more convenient for passengers in these areas. The Ministry issued a notification regarding this new development, fulfilling the demands of many who have been asking for this service.

The demand for a Vande Bharat Express with halts at Sangli and Miraj has been ongoing, with BJP Maharashtra Rail Wing President Kailas Varma and DyCM Devndra Fadnavis pushing for its approval. Finally, the Ministry has listened and approved the two Vande Bharat trains on the Pune-Hubli route, with a halt at Sangli as well.

Here’s a quick look at the train schedule:
– Hubli-Pune Vande Bharat will depart from Hubli at 5.15 am and reach Pune at 1.30 pm.
– The return journey will start from Pune at 2.15 pm and arrive in Hubli at 10.45 pm.

Some special features of the Vande Bharat Express include being an AC train with eight compartments, a daily run (except Monday), a speed of 66 kmph, and covering a distance of 558 km.

The travel times between Pune to Sangli, Sangli to Belgaum, Sangli to Hubli, Belgaum to Hubli, and Pune to Hubli have also been provided, making it easier for passengers to plan their journey.
