Hey Pune peeps, have you checked out the special display at the Sakhalipir Talim Rashtriya Maruti Temple’s Ganesh festival yet? They’ve got the sacred footwear of 18 saints on show, including big names like Sant Dnyaneshwar and Shri Sai Baba. And that’s not all – there’s even a replica of the Shri Sadguru Shankar Maharaj Math to marvel at!

The replica was unveiled by entrepreneur Punit Balan, alongside key figures like Ravindra Malvadkar and Bhai Katre. The festival runs from September 9 to September 15, with each day featuring the padukas of a different saint.

The temple, with a rich history dating back to 1919, is all about promoting national unity. Punit Balan commended the temple’s social initiatives, praising their dedication to helping the community. Ravindra Malvadkar shared more about the temple’s work, which includes initiatives like ‘Vanchitanchi Diwali’ and the ‘Sarvadharmiya Ashadhi Wari’.

The volunteers and artists behind the display were honored at the event, with Shivani Malvadkar and Bhai Katre leading the way. It’s great to see communities coming together for such meaningful causes, isn’t it?
