The Sakhalipir Talim Rashtriya Maruti Temple in Pune is currently hosting a special Ganesh festival that showcases the sacred footwear, or ‘padukas’, of 18 saints. The festival kicked off with the inauguration of a replica of the Shri Sadguru Shankar Maharaj Math by entrepreneur Punit Balan. Key figures present at the event included Ravindra Malvadkar, Bhai Katre, Shivani Malvadkar, Vijay Gore, Nitin Kale, Yogesh Nimbalakar, Anand Salunkhe, and Dhananjay Kale.

Throughout the festival, the padukas of saints like Sant Dnyaneshwar, Muktabai, Namdev, and others will be on display. The event aims to promote national unity and social initiatives, with Punit Balan praising the temple’s efforts in this regard. Ravindra Malvadkar, a guiding force behind the festival, highlighted the temple’s various social initiatives such as ‘Vanchitanchi Diwali’ and the ‘Sarvadharmiya Ashadhi Wari’.

The volunteers and artists involved in creating the festival display were honored by Puneet Balan, with Shivani Malvadkar and Bhai Katre delivering speeches. The Sakhalipir Talim Rashtriya Maruti Temple, with a history of 105 years, continues to be a hub for cultural and social engagement in Pune.
