Punit Balan Group (PBG) is once again in the news for its generous support of athletes. This time, Olympic Bronze Medal Winner Swapnil Kusale is the recipient of a reward of Rs 11-lakh. The reward cheque was presented to Swapnil by PBG President and Young Entrepreneur Punit Balan on Monday.
Swapnil, a talented shooter from Kolhapur, made Maharashtra proud by winning the Bronze Medal in 50-m rifle shooting (three position) at the Paris Olympic Games. He is only the second player from the state to win a medal in an individual event at the prestigious games.
Impressed by Swapnil’s performance, Punit Balan announced the reward as a token of appreciation. In a special gesture, Swapnil was given the opportunity to perform the ‘Aarti’ of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati before receiving the cheque.
During the event, Swapnil expressed his gratitude towards PBG, stating, “I am a Ganesh Bhakt and I believe that the blessings of Bappa helped me win the Bronze Medal. It is a great honor for me to have performed the ‘Aarti’ of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati.”
