1. Maharashtra’s Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil, recently visited India’s first public Ganpati, the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Public Trust, during the ongoing Ganeshotsav festivities.
  2. Patil was welcomed and felicitated by Punit Balan, the chief of the festival and trustee of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust.
  3. In response to criticism from Shiv Sena leader Sushma Andhare, Patil stated that anyone is welcome to contribute to the public Ganeshotsav and that there is no restriction on who can help with the festival.
  4. When asked about his prayers to Lord Ganesh, Patil expressed his concerns about employment and societal well-being, emphasizing the importance of people finding jobs to support their families.
  5. Patil also advocated for flexible work opportunities for women, suggesting the need for four-hour jobs to accommodate their family duties.
  6. He further requested Lord Ganesh for better educational opportunities abroad for students and prosperity for farmers, including good rainfall, abundant crops, and fair prices.
