Hey there, Pune folks! Here’s the latest news coming in from Karve Road near Nal Stop. Unfortunately, a tragic accident took place earlier today resulting in the death of a cyclist. The cyclist was crushed by a crane around 9:30 AM and unfortunately passed away on the spot. The incident occurred right in front of Sonal Hall on Karve Road as the cyclist was on their way towards Deccan.
According to eyewitnesses, the construction work happening on the footpath and cycle path on Karve Road has narrowed the road significantly. This has made it quite challenging for cyclists to navigate, especially with the fast-moving cars coming from the flyover.
The Deccan Gymkhana Police are currently investigating the incident and have taken the crane operator into custody for further questioning. At this point, the identity of the deceased cyclist is still unknown.
