1. IISER Pune recently celebrated its 11th convocation, awarding degrees to a total of 346 students. The ceremony took place on May 29, 2024, with various degrees being conferred, including PhDs, Master of Science and PhD dual degrees, and BS and MS dual degrees.
2. Director Prof. Sunil S. Bhagwat presented the degrees to the graduates, with special recognition given to those who graduated with Distinction and the recipient of the institute’s gold medal, Shah Varun Kaushal.
3. Dr. Vijay Kumar Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog, was the Chief Guest for the event and awarded the Best MS and PhD Thesis Awards to deserving students.
4. The institute’s annual report highlighted its academic achievements and the scientific events undertaken by researchers, showcasing the impact of outreach programmes like the Smt. Indrani Balan Science Activity Centre and the Science Media Centre.
