In light of the festivities, all liquor stores in Pune will be closed on September 17 and 18. Emergency routes for ambulances and fire services will remain open, with alternative routes provided for vehicles needing to navigate around the city center.
To provide assistance to the public during this time, the Pune Police have launched the ‘My Safe Pune’ app. This app will offer real-time updates on parking, police assistance, pedestrian paths, and road closures. Additionally, measures have been put in place to restrict the use of loudspeakers beyond midnight on September 17, with specific decibel limits to be strictly enforced.
In order to maintain a safe environment during the procession, the use of flammable substances will be prohibited. Furthermore, the bursting of firecrackers is banned in public spaces, streets, and around hospitals to ensure a peaceful celebration for all.
