In a shocking turn of events in Pune, a businessman named Bapu Shitole attempted to kill two individuals over a financial dispute by shooting them. The Pune rural police have seized a large cache of firearms from the accused, including 175 gun cartridges, 40 pistol cartridges, two barrels, and three empty magazines.

The accomplices who assisted Shitole in the crime have also been arrested. The accused have been identified as Bapu alias Dashrath Vitthal Shitole, Nilima Bapu alias Dashrath Shitole, Jignesh Dashrath Shitole, Asha Suresh Bhosale, and Nikhil Ashok Bhosale, all residents of Inamdarwasti, Koregaon, Uruli Kanchan, Taluka Haveli. The court has remanded them to police custody until September 18.

The victims, Kaluram Mahadev Gote and Sharad Kailas Gote, were shot in the incident. Kaluram is currently receiving treatment at Nobel Hospital, while Sharad was also injured in the attack.

The altercation between the accused and the victims originated from a land transaction of Rs 40 lakh that took place 1.5 years ago. When the farmers demanded payment, Shitole called them to his house under false pretenses, only to attack them in a fit of anger.

Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh and his team were able to track down the accused and apprehend them. Shitole admitted to the crime during interrogation, and his family members who assisted in the attack were also taken into custody.

The police team involved in the operation included various officers and personnel, showing their dedication to bringing justice to the victims and ensuring the safety of the community.
