Heartbreaking news struck the quiet neighborhood of Garmal in Vadgaon Dhayari yesterday when young Rohan Survase tragically lost his life while playing a game of cricket with his friends. The ten-year-old boy, a resident of Lane No. 17, was just trying to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the nearby canal when disaster struck.

As Rohan and his friends Sairaj and Ayaan attempted to rescue the ball from the water, the strong current proved to be too much for them to handle. One of the boys managed to escape the water, thanks to the quick thinking of a passerby named Prajwal, who bravely jumped in to help.

The Sinhagad Road Police Station was immediately informed of the incident, and they wasted no time in rushing to the scene. The Fire Brigade was also called in to assist with the search for Rohan, but despite their best efforts, the young boy’s body had not been found by nightfall.

The entire community is in shock and mourning over this tragic loss, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Rohan’s family and friends during this difficult time. Let us all take a moment to reflect on the preciousness of life and the importance of staying safe, especially when playing near bodies of water.
