Hey there, folks! If you were at the Ganesh Visarjan procession in Pune yesterday, you might have noticed some hustle and bustle around the medical assistance stations. And that’s because the Pune Police’s ‘Vighnaharta Nyas’ initiative was in full swing, providing much-needed help to 582 individuals facing health issues.

From dehydration-induced dizziness to respiratory difficulties due to overcrowding, the medical team had their hands full. And let’s not forget about the asthma and coughing episodes triggered by the colorful smoke from the drum and tasha groups. Ouch!

But it wasn’t just the heat and the crowds causing problems. Some unfortunate souls ended up with wounds from trolleys, head injuries from drumming instruments, and even fainting spells from the noise and pressure of the crowd. Yikes!

Thankfully, the Vighnaharta Nyas had everything under control with emergency medical stations set up along the procession route. With 112 doctors, medical students, nurses, and volunteers on board, they were able to provide swift assistance to those in need. Kudos to Dr. Milind Bhoi, Dr. Nandkishor Borse, and the rest of the team for their hard work!

And let’s not forget about the support from organizations like Tarachand Hospital, Tilak Ayurveda College, and My Mauli Old Age Home. Together, they ensured that everyone got the care they needed, whether it was on-site treatment or a trip to the hospital.

All in all, it was a successful two days of medical assistance during the Ganesh Visarjan procession. Here’s to a safe and healthy celebration next year!
