These cameras are being watched over by the Volksara team at the PCMC’s Integrated Command & Control Center in Nigdi. They’re keeping tabs on 606 spots in town, including hotspots like Sant Nagar Chowk and Chinchwad Station. And it’s not just the streets – these cameras are also keeping an eye on places like schools and hospitals.
With all this tech in place, the cops can jump into action faster than ever when something goes down. Saily Lad, the big boss at Volksara, says this smart surveillance system is all about keeping the community safe and making sure things run smoothly. And it seems to be working – Kiranraj Yadav from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City Limited says the cameras have already helped out in over 30 cases and made traffic management a whole lot easier.
