The Pune Rural Police’s local crime branch made a major breakthrough on Friday by apprehending wanted criminal Mithun Banda Kale after seven years on the run. Known for his involvement in serious crimes like murder, robbery, and MCOCA offences, Kale was finally caught thanks to a valuable tip from an informant.

The operation to capture Kale was strategically planned after receiving intel that he would be at Shrigonda Bazaar. The team went undercover and successfully nabbed him at the marketplace. Upon interrogation, Kale confirmed his identity and was identified as a resident of Akoni, Karjat Taluka in Ahmednagar District.

Following his arrest, Kale was subjected to a medical examination before being transferred to the Daund Police Station for further investigation. The successful operation was conducted under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, Additional Superintendent of Police Ganesh Biradar, and DySP Bappurao Dadas. The arrest itself was carried out by a team led by Senior Police Inspector Avinash Shilimkar and included Sub-Inspector Rahul Gawde and other dedicated members.
