The political scene in Pune is heating up as the BJP and Shiv Sena are reportedly trying to corner the NCP in the Maha Yuti alliance. Pressure is mounting on Ajit Pawar to accept fewer seats, with State BJP leaders openly expressing their views against his presence in the alliance.

It seems that there is a difference in the styles of functioning between CM Eknath Shinde and DyCM Ajit Pawar, leading to speculation that Pawar may be sidelined in the Maha Yuti. However, the NCP is making efforts to connect with the people through their Jan Sanman Yatra, which is receiving a positive response.

While Ajit Pawar may be lagging behind in seat-sharing negotiations, he is reportedly ahead of CM Shinde in terms of campaigning. On the other hand, the BJP is focusing on religious issues to reach out to the voters, with leader Nitesh Rane delivering provocative speeches.

In response, the NCP is engaging with voters through their Jan Sanman Yatra and Shiv Swarajya Yatra. Eknath Shinde and his son Shrikant are planning to conduct the Dharma Jagaran Yatra ahead of the State Assembly polls, using traditional folk arts such as Gondhal and Vasudev to connect with the masses.

Observers suggest that Shinde’s Hindutva strategy may put the BJP in trouble, as they try to cash in on the Hindutva plank and traditional folk arts to gain support. While the BJP and Shiv Sena may be using a ‘use and throw’ policy against Ajit Pawar, Shinde’s strategy could potentially disrupt their plans.

During his Jan Sanman Yatra in Solapur, Ajit Pawar hinted that the poll code may come into effect within two weeks, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming State Assembly polls in Pune.
