Hey Pune folks! Exciting news for all traders looking to set up firecracker stalls this Diwali season. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is all set to invite tenders for 194 stalls across 13 different locations within the city limits. This move is expected to bring in a revenue of ₹16,54,036 for the corporation.

Last year, PMC conducted an online auction for renting out firecracker stalls, which turned out to be a successful initiative. However, there has been pressure to switch back to offline auctions this year due to some traders preventing others from bidding in the past. Despite these demands, the administration has decided to stick to the online auction system.

Traders can look forward to renting stalls along the riverbank road next to Vartak Garden during the festive season. This year, 35 stalls will be available in Vartak Garden with a fixed rent of ₹25,155 per stall. Bidding will start from this amount, so get ready to place your bids!

Apart from Vartak Garden, stalls will also be leased out in various ward office limits across the city. From Kondhwa-Yewalewadi to Warje-Karvenagar, there are plenty of opportunities for traders to set up their stalls and attract customers.

So, if you’re a trader looking to cash in on the Diwali festivities, keep an eye out for the tender invitations from PMC and get ready to bid for your space. Happy trading, Pune!
