Hey there, folks! It’s been a wet and wild day in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad as heavy rainfall caused chaos in the city. The fire brigade was kept on their toes as they responded to multiple incidents of tree falls and waterlogging throughout the day.

Tree Falls:
From Hadapsar to Dhankawadi, trees were tumbling down left and right. The fire brigade had to rush to nine different locations to clear the debris and ensure everyone’s safety. Thankfully, no one was hurt in any of these incidents.

Waterlogging:
Low-lying areas like Ganj Peth and Koregaon Park were not spared from the downpour either. The fire brigade had to step in to help remove the water and prevent any further damage in these areas.

Traffic Jams:
If you were out and about today, you probably got stuck in traffic on University Road, Aundh Road, Khadki, and more. Commuters reported being stuck for over an hour, thanks to the heavy rains.

And let’s not forget about the rainfall numbers! Chinchwad and Shivajinagar got the worst of it with over 100mm of rain, while other areas like Koregaon Park and NDA also saw quite a bit of water coming down.

Stay safe out there, Pune! And remember to drive carefully in these wet conditions.
