Academically, Kashish has excelled in her studies, completing her MSc thesis in Neuroscience at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, with a focus on brain gamma waves. Despite having the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at Harvard, she decided to join the Indian Army instead.
