Hey there, Pune folks! Looks like we had a bit of drama over the weekend with a bomb threat hoax at the iconic Shaniwarwada. But guess what? The culprit behind the scare turned out to be none other than a 42-year-old farmer from Chinchpur in Beed district.

Yep, you heard it right. The farmer, Ramhari Satpute, decided to spice up his Saturday by making a bomb threat call to the police control room. And get this – he did it while he was completely sloshed! After being taken in for questioning, Satpute spilled the beans and confessed to his intoxicated shenanigans.

According to Satpute, his day started with a couple of bottles of country-made liquor at 9 a.m. (talk about a wild morning!). By 9:30 a.m., he was on the phone with the cops, falsely claiming that a bomb was chilling at Shaniwarwada, courtesy of a mysterious woman friend.

But wait, there’s more. When the police followed up with Satpute for details on the alleged bomb, he came up with a whole story about his “friend” tipping him off. Smooth move, Satpute, smooth move.

In response to this not-so-funny prank, the Pune city police slapped Satpute with a notice under Section 151 of the CrPC. They also gave him a stern warning about future repercussions if he decides to pull off another stunt like this.

Well, that’s one way to kick off the weekend in Pune, isn’t it? Stay safe out there, and remember – jokes about bombs are never a good idea, especially after a few too many drinks.
