Hey Pune peeps, get ready to groove because Navratri 2024 is just around the corner! Starting tomorrow, the entire city will be lit up with celebrations and devotion for the next nine days. If you’re planning to visit any goddess temples in Pune like Bhavani Mata Mandir or Tambdi Jogeshwari, be prepared for some traffic changes.
The Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Traffic Branch, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende, has announced some temporary adjustments to ensure smooth flow during the festive period. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Appa Balwant Chowk: The road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk will be closed to traffic, with one-way traffic from Budhwar Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk. Don’t worry, there’s an alternate route available.
2. Bhavani Mata Mandir: Expect road closures on Mahatma Phule Road in front of the temple. Parking near Jawaharlal Nehru Road is your best bet.
3. Tambdi Jogeshwari Mandir: Traffic will be restricted from Ganpati Chowk to the temple. Follow the alternate route via Seva Sadan Chowk to avoid any hassle.
4. Shri Chattushringi Devi Mandir: Keep an eye out for diversions on SB Road if traffic gets heavy. There’s designated parking at the Government Polytechnic Ground.
And mark your calendars for 4th October, when a special recitation program will take place at Shri Mahalaxmi Mandir, Sarasbag. Traffic changes will be in effect, so plan your route accordingly.
Remember, DCP Amol Zende is counting on all of us to cooperate and follow these traffic guidelines. Let’s make this Navratri a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in Pune!
