Hey Pune peeps, listen up! If you’ve been trying to sneak a free ride on the train, you might want to think twice. In September 2024, a whopping 20,569 passengers were caught without tickets on the Pune Division trains. That’s a lot of people trying to dodge the fare!

And it’s not just about tickets either. Nearly 3,000 passengers were fined for travelling irregularly and without proper tickets. That’s a serious violation, folks!

But wait, there’s more. If you thought you could get away with carrying un-booked luggage, think again. 387 passengers were slapped with fines totaling Rs. 49,575 for trying to sneak in extra baggage.

All these actions were taken under the watchful eyes of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey and Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh. They were supported by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirwe and Divisional Commercial Manager H.K.Behera, along with ticket checking inspectors and the Railway Protection Force in Pune.

So, take this as a friendly reminder to always travel with a proper ticket. Otherwise, you might end up paying a hefty fine or even facing imprisonment. Stay on the right side of the law, folks!
