The shocking incident involving builder Yashwant Nimhan in Sus has taken a new turn as he was arrested by the Hinjawadi Police and presented in court today. The court granted him five days of police custody, while his two sons, Abhishek and Rushikesh, remain at large.
The trouble began when Nimhan and his sons, along with another individual, arrived at Teerth Towers in Sus with a JCB to remove grass and plants. Despite protests from residents, Nimhan refused to stop the work and even attempted to run over one of them with the JCB. This led to a physical altercation where Nimhan and his sons assaulted a resident, causing injuries to his hands.
Things took a violent turn when Nimhan grabbed a baseball bat and attacked the resident again, as well as another resident who tried to intervene. The situation escalated, prompting the Hinjawadi Police to intervene and arrest Nimhan.
The discovery of wooden sticks and bats in Nimhan’s vehicle has raised suspicions that the attack may have been premeditated. Senior Police Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat has assured the public that the matter is under investigation, with Nimhan in custody and efforts underway to locate his sons.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and the consequences of resorting to violence. Residents of Sus are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
