Hey everyone! So, it looks like AamantraN Durga Pujo is going to be a blast this year with tons of activities lined up. Mr. Shubhodip Ghosh, the AamantraN secretary, spilled the beans on what we can expect at the festival this year.

The festivities kick off on October 8th with Anandamela, where in-house members and their families come together to show off their cooking skills with a spread of delicious foods. The Puja will be inaugurated on Sasthi, which falls on the evening of October 9th, with Aagamani Songs by Members, a tribute to Women Power – Aamar Durga, and a Bengali Drama titled “Dampoti,” all performed by AamantraN members.

On October 10th, we’ve got a musical evening by Ujjan, followed by an in-house team dance performance on the 11th, and Traditional Baul (Bengali Folk) Songs by Jayatna Das. The 12th will feature a performance by our in-house singing team and a dance performance by “Razzle.”

The morning of the 13th will see the traditional Sindur Khela followed by Immersion. In the evening, there will be a Bijaya Sammilani (traditional Bengali get-together post-immersion) for members.

Vice President Sanket Roy mentioned that there will be Bhog Prasad on the 10th, 11th, and 12th from 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm, featuring traditional dishes like Khichudi, Labda (mixed veg), Pulao, Poori, Sabji, and Sweets. There will also be various competitions during the day for everyone to participate in, including Dhunuchi Dance, Sit and Draw for children, fancy dress for tiny tots, and musical chairs for ladies and kids.

Kojagari Laxmi Pujo will take place on the 16th evening at the same venue, with Kali Pujo following on October 31st. The excitement is building, and we can’t wait to welcome Maa Durga and enjoy a fantastic festival season filled with fun, joy, and togetherness. Let the celebrations begin!
