Pune-based BJP worker, Mayur Munde, who gained fame for building a temple of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021, has now shocked many by resigning from the primary membership of the party. In a letter addressed to BJP State President Chandrakant Bawankule, Munde cited reasons such as the distribution of party posts at the whim of local MLAs, the neglect of loyal party members, and the overall decline in loyalty within the party as the main reasons for his decision.

Munde, who had served as the president of Aundh ward and BJYM vice-president of Chhatrapati Shivajinagar, expressed his disappointment with the current state of affairs within the BJP. He mentioned that the party posts are often given to outsider contractors recruited from outside, while former office-bearers are frequently insulted and excluded from party meetings.

Despite his resignation from all party posts, Munde assured that he would continue to be active in public life to serve the people. His bold move has sparked discussions and debates within political circles in Pune, with many questioning the internal dynamics of the party and the treatment of loyal party workers. Only time will tell how this decision will impact the local political landscape in Pune.
