The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Pune is stepping up its game with a new initiative aimed at making it easier for residents to report corruption complaints. No longer will people have to trek all the way to Pune to voice their concerns against corrupt government officials – now, ACB officials will be making one-day visits to each taluka in the district.
From Bhor to Junnar, citizens can drop by government rest houses between 11 AM and 5 PM to meet with ACB officials and share their grievances. Superintendent of Police Shirish Sardeshpande stressed the importance of this initiative, saying, “Our goal is to keep corrupt public servants in check and ensure that the public’s work is completed efficiently.”
During these sessions, officials will walk citizens through the process of filing complaints, distribute informational materials, showcase a documentary highlighting the bureau’s efforts, and of course, record any complaints brought forward. The scheduled visits are as follows:
– Bhor: Tuesday, October 8, 2024
– Lonavala: Wednesday, October 9, 2024
– Baramati: Thursday, October 10, 2024
– Khed Rajgurunagar: Friday, October 11, 2024
– Narayangaon: Saturday, October 12, 2024
– Daund: Sunday, October 13, 2024
– Saswad: Monday, October 14, 2024
– Shirur: Saturday, October 19, 2024
– Indapur: Sunday, October 20, 2024
– Junnar: Sunday, October 27, 2024
Superintendent Sardeshpande encourages everyone to participate in this initiative, assuring the public that their voices will be heard and their complaints addressed. This outreach is all about empowering citizens and ensuring that corruption has no place in Pune. So mark your calendars, Pune residents, and let your voice be heard!
