The ‘Apla Pune Marathon Season-4’ organised by Punit Balan Group (PBG) is set to be one of the most exciting events of the year, with over 10,000 runners already registered to participate.

This prestigious run has garnered immense support from the Pune Police, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police, the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations, the PMPML, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The aim of the run is to promote a healthy lifestyle and discourage drug use among the youth in Pune, with the motto ‘Say no to drugs, yes to run’.

The event will feature various categories including a 42-km full marathon, 21-km half marathon, 10-km run, and 5-km joy run, catering to both experienced and new runners. Participants can also look forward to a marathon expo, hydration stations along the route, medical teams, live music, and cheer zones to keep them motivated throughout the run.

In addition to the main event, a special 5-km social run will be organized by the Loha Foundation and the Rotary Club to raise awareness about social service and collective efforts for social welfare. Money raised from this run will be donated towards various social causes, making every participant a contributor to a better society.

IPS Krishna Prakash, known for his fitness and dedication to law enforcement, will be the Honorary Race Director of the event. With attractive prizes worth Rs 18 lakh up for grabs, the competition is expected to attract top runners and create a high-level competitive atmosphere.

The event will also include a special felicitation ceremony for the winners of the Apla Pune Marathon 2024, as well as local influencers who have been instrumental in promoting the running culture in Pune.
