Hey there, folks! It’s your friendly neighborhood journalist here with some not-so-great news. A college student in Shivajinagar was recently robbed of a gold chain worth a whopping ₹70,000. Yikes! The poor guy, Sairaj Anil Bhand, ended up getting hurt in the process after being threatened with a sharp weapon called a koyta. Ouch!
So, here’s what went down. Sairaj and his buddy, Atharva Diddi, were just hanging out near Symbiosis College when two shady characters showed up and started hurling insults their way. Things quickly took a turn for the worse when one of the robbers decided to get physical and whacked Sairaj on the head with the koyta. They then snatched his gold chain and made a run for it. Talk about a traumatic experience!
Thankfully, Sairaj wasted no time in reporting the incident to the police. The Deccan police station wasted no time in jumping into action and launching an investigation. Our trusty Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Bhosale is on the case and hot on the trail of these thieves.
This incident is just the latest in a string of similar crimes in the area, including the recent gang-rape case at Bopdev Ghat. The situation has gotten so serious that Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Dr. Neelam Gorhe had to step in and have a chat with Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. They’re calling for increased patrolling in isolated spots like Hanuman Tekdi, Vetal Tekdi, and other vulnerable areas.
Stay safe out there, folks, and keep an eye out for each other. And remember, always keep your valuables close and your wits about you. Until next time, this is your journalist signing off. Stay safe, stay informed, and stay awesome!
