Residents from various societies in the Kondhwa area came together for a meeting recently, with notable figures like Police Inspector Kumar Ghadge and Ex MLA Mahadev Babar in attendance. The meeting addressed several pressing issues faced by the residents, including the problem of water supply and the increasing reliance on tanker water.
One of the main concerns raised by the residents was the alleged extortion by watermen for supplying water at high pressure and on a regular basis. This issue has led to a disruption in the management of society resources and has caused frustration among the residents.
In addition to the water supply problem, residents also highlighted issues such as illegal parking by private cabs and chicken vehicles, illegal dumping of waste, and the lack of police patrolling in the area despite the proximity of the Kondhwa police station. The residents also expressed dissatisfaction with coffee shops that operate beyond permissible time limits.
To address these issues, the residents have decided to meet with the Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner to demand accountability and seek solutions to the problems plaguing their area. The meeting was a display of community solidarity and a determination to work towards a better living environment for all residents in the Kondhwa area.
