In a shocking incident on the outskirts of Pune, a college student from Nagaland was attacked and robbed at a hill in the Baner area. The perpetrators, armed with a koyta, threatened the student and made off with his belongings, including two mobile phones and cash totaling Rs 20,000.

Fortunately, the Pune police were able to apprehend the suspects, identified as Ajinkya Ashok Bobade and Nikhil Babasaheb Dongare, with the help of vigilant officers patrolling the Baner area. The police confiscated a two-wheeler and the weapon used in the robbery from the suspects.

The prompt action of Police Constables Shrikant Sable and Sachin Birangal led to the arrest of the culprits, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. The police have also detained two juveniles who were allegedly involved in the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing to determine if the suspects are linked to any other criminal activities in the area. The successful operation was carried out under the supervision of top police officials, including Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuja Deshmane.
