Hey folks, have you ever wondered how some communities are often left out of government welfare schemes due to a lack of documents? Well, the Adivasi Katkari Community is one such example. But fear not, because the Janjati Kalyan Ashram is here to save the day!

Recently, over 550 individuals from the Adivasi Katkari community in Pune were given their much-needed caste certificates during a special ceremony. This initiative, supported by Rohan Builders, aims to help them access various welfare schemes, education, and healthcare facilities.

The event was graced by the presence of Sudhir Bhagwat, BDO of Mulshi Taluka, Dr Pravin Dabadghav, and representatives from Rohan Builders and Janjati Kalyan Ashram. Dr Dabadghav highlighted the community’s patriotic history and urged the youth to pursue education for a better future.

Suhas Lunkad, on the other hand, shared how they have already helped over 800 individuals from the Katkari Community obtain essential documents like caste certificates and Aadhar cards. Additionally, they are working on providing homes for 55 families in Mugaon village, with construction already underway for 35 homes.

The event was a success, with Sagar Katkar giving the introductory remarks and Mayur Karjatkar as the program’s anchor. Dr Dabadghav even had the honor of handing over a caste certificate to Pornima Jadhav from the Katkari Community.

With initiatives like these, it’s heartwarming to see communities coming together to uplift the marginalized and make a real difference in people’s lives. Let’s hope for more such initiatives in the future!
