Tushar, along with his friends Khitij Vikhe and Subodh Gangudre, recently completed a challenging climb to the Ooty Kangri peak, located 90 km from Leh. This expedition required high physical ability and took them 12-13 hours to complete in a single day.
In an interview with the media, Tushar mentioned that very few climbers attempt this offbeat hike, making their achievement even more impressive. The current season was ideal for the climb, as heavy snow in the winters can make it difficult to reach the 6,000-meter peak.
Tushar, who hails from Shivapur in Bhor taluka and resides in Dhankawadi, Pune, has an impressive mountaineering background. He completed the Basic Mountaineering Course at the Indian Army Institute in Sikkim in 2021 and the advanced course in Indian Himalayan at Darjeeling. He has successfully climbed peaks like Friendship peak, Kabru Dome 2 peak, and New Virgin peak in Sikkim, as well as Ban Sir, Maharashtra’s tallest cone.
Everest Veer Lahu Bhoke from S. L. Adventure congratulated Tushar on his remarkable achievement, highlighting his physical and mental strength. Tushar’s successful ascent of the Ooty Kangri peak has brought pride to Pune and Maharashtra, inspiring aspiring mountaineers in the region.
