The Mahabhondla program for women was the talk of the town last night, with various cultural groups showcasing their talents. From Gondhali folk dances to Ras Garba performances, the evening was filled with entertainment and celebration. Mansi Bhagwat even wowed the audience with a Kathak recital based on the Ramayana.
Special gifts were given to all the participating women’s groups as a token of appreciation for their performances. The event was graced by Anup Singh Thakur, the actor playing Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming film “Dharamrakshak Mahaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj,” along with the film’s director and actress.
The crowd went wild during the trailer screening of the movie, chanting praises for Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj. And let’s not forget the hilarious skit performed by actors from the popular YouTube series “Chandal Choukadyachya Karamati,” which had everyone laughing.
BJP city president Shankar Jagtap expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by the people of Pimple Gurav, Sangvi, and Pimpri-Chinchwad. He promised to uphold their trust and continue the legacy left by the late Laxmanbhau. The event ended on a high note with the burning of a 70-foot Ravana effigy, with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” filling the air.
