Tragedy struck in Rajnane village, Rajgad taluka, on Sunday evening as a mother and her son lost their lives in a rickshaw accident. The deceased have been identified as Shalan Pasalkar and her son, Deepak Pasalkar, both residents of Daund taluka. Their daughter, Kavita Maral, was seriously injured in the incident.
The family had been visiting Kavita in Kanand village and were on their way back to Pune when the accident occurred. Local reports indicate that a fallen tree from heavy rainfall obstructed the road, causing the rickshaw to crash into a bridge in Rajnane village.
Dr. Swagat Rinde alerted the Disaster Management team, who quickly responded to the scene. The rescue team, led by Tanaji Bhosale, cleared the road for traffic by removing the fallen tree.
Kavita is currently receiving treatment for her injuries, while authorities are investigating the incident further. Our thoughts are with the families affected by this tragic event.
