In a shocking incident in Dhankawadi, Pune, a 13-year-old boy was injured in a firing accident involving a retired army man’s revolver. The incident took place when the boy, Abhay Nitin Shirke, accidentally knocked over a loaded revolver that was stored in a cupboard by his father, Nitin Hanumant Shirke. The retired army officer, who now works as a security officer, has been charged by the Sahakar Nagar police for the incident.

According to the police report, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when Abhay was at home with his mother and younger brother. While exploring the cupboard, the bag containing the revolver fell to the ground and discharged, hitting Abhay in the leg. The police were alerted to the incident and quickly arrived at the scene.

Assistant Police Inspector Sagar Patil is currently investigating the case, and Nitin Shirke has been charged with negligence for failing to properly secure the loaded weapon.
