Pune residents are facing water shortages despite dams being at full capacity. The municipal administration decided to shut down water supply for a day during Diwali for electrical work, causing further disruptions. Many areas did not have water restored as promised, leading to frustration among citizens. The water supply department has been unresponsive to residents’ inquiries, exacerbating the issue.
To make matters worse, another water supply shutdown is scheduled for repairs, affecting various areas including Hadapsar, Mundhwa, and Magarpatta City. Residents have been warned of delays and low water pressure. The frequent interruptions in water supply during festive seasons have left residents feeling neglected by the municipal corporation, who prioritize repairs over their needs. Citizens are fed up with the ongoing hardships and lack of communication from the authorities.
