According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune can expect minimum temperatures to range between 17°C and 18°C in the upcoming week, with daytime highs hovering around 33°C to 34°C. This decrease in temperatures, along with reduced rainfall, signals the end of the hot October weather.
Meteorologists predict that temperatures will continue to drop after November 1, indicating a more pronounced onset of winter. This cooling trend is not only evident in Pune but also in other parts of Maharashtra, where minimum temperatures are decreasing, leading to foggy mornings with dew.
Despite the transitional phase from post-monsoon to winter, Punekars can look forward to cooler Diwali celebrations and anticipate cooler mornings and evenings after November 1.
